Youth Festivals
About Youth Festivals
The youth festival aims to propagate the concept of national integration, spirit of communal harmony, brotherhood, courage and adventure amongst the youth by exhibiting their cultural prowess in a common platform. This is done by organizing gatherings of youth across the country and encouraging them to take part in different activities. Crucial components of the Youth Festival are the competitive events. To compete at the festival, the young talents perform their level best to get themselves medals and awards. The activities held during the festival include competitive and non-competitive cultural events, martial arts, exhibitions, intellectual discourses, young artists camps, seminars and adventure programmes. The presentation of Awards also takes place.
Organizing of Youth Festivals:
Youth Festivals are organised at various levels, Those are:
  • Inter College Level
  • Inter District Level
  • State Inter University Level
  • Zone Level
  • National Level
  • International Level

At Inter college Level events are organised between various colleges in a district while at Inter District Level events are organised between the colleges of various districts.

At State Inter University Level various universities within a state participates and competes against each other.

At Zone Level various universities at zone level competes against each other.

While The National Youth Festival in India is an annual gathering of youth with various activities including competitive ones. Celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of youth icon Swami Vivekananda, it is organized by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India in collaboration with one of the State Governments. Thus it is held in a different state each year during National Youth Week, 12 to 16 January every year.

At International Level various fests are organised among various countries and one such fest which is popular among South Asian countries is SAUFEST:South Asian Universities Festival, The idea of organizing SAUFEST was initiated by AIU to encourage the future generation of youth from South Asian countries to come on common platform for sharing views, experiences and common ideas so that a common agenda in taking the future regional challenges can be taken up. The role of SAUFEST is to ensure unity for peace, harmony and brotherhood among the people of South Asian region. Since its inception in 2007 over 19,000 young people have been involved in SAUFEST. SAUFEST is a noble concept of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) ensuring from goal to promote active Collaboration and mutual understanding among of the South Asian Countries in educational , social , cultural and economic fields.

Our Participations:

Our university actively participates in all the youth festivals organized at various level. Our students have performed very well in the various events of the fest. Other then this our University has also hosted various festivals successfully.
